UseBy does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
All expiry items, subscriptions, EMI records, and savings entries you add are stored locally on your device. EMI amounts, bank names, and savings details you enter are also stored only on your device and are never transmitted or shared.
The app may request camera permission only to help users quickly add expiry details. Reference photos are used only to help you enter expiry information and are not stored permanently. No images or data are uploaded or stored on any external server.
The app may request notification permission to send reminders for expiry dates, subscriptions, EMI payments, and savings tracking.
All notifications are generated locally on your device based on your selected reminder settings.
No notification data is transmitted to any external server.
UseBy uses local notifications/reminders to alert users about upcoming expiry dates, subscription renewals, EMI due dates, and savings milestones.
Notifications/Reminders are scheduled and generated directly on your device based on your selected settings (such as 7 days before, 3 days before, on the due date, etc.).
Notifications/Reminders are used strictly for tracking and reminder purposes and not for promotional activities.
Users can enable or disable notifications/reminders at any time from the app settings.
On Android 12 and later, UseBy may request "Alarms & reminders" permission so expiry reminders can be delivered at the times you choose. This is used only for local reminders and does not send data outside your device.
On Android, UseBy may ask you to exempt it from battery optimization so reminders continue to work reliably when the app is in the background. This does not collect or transmit any data.
UseBy reschedules reminders after your device restarts so you do not miss expiry alerts. This is done locally on your device.
All data remains securely stored on your device. The app works completely offline.
App lock state (e.g., whether you are authenticated) is stored in your device's secure, encrypted storage and is never transmitted.
All app data is stored only on your device. If you uninstall UseBy, this data is removed with the app.
UseBy provides an optional app lock feature for additional privacy.
Users can customize when authentication is required (for example: every time the app is closed, or once every 24 hours).
If the 24-hour option is selected, the app will remain unlocked for 24 hours after successful authentication.
If you enable app lock, UseBy may use your device's biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) or device PIN/pattern/password. Biometric data is processed only by your device's secure hardware and is never stored or transmitted by the app.
Authentication data is handled securely by your device and is not stored or transmitted by the app.
Users can enable or disable theme settings (Light Mode or Dark Mode) within the app. Theme preferences are stored locally on your device.
UseBy does not use third-party analytics, ads, tracking services, or cloud storage.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from children.
UseBy does not provide medical or safety advice. The app is a tracking and reminder tool only.
